Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21 1956) is a Canadian-born British actress most well-known for her performance in the role of Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she was awarded five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. In 2008 and 2010, she reprised the character for the films Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. In the 80s she was a leading character on the television show Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin in addition to Porky's. A noted actress Cattrall's portrayal as Samantha Jones has been a important moment for her career. Before she began her acting career, she was Sweden's fashion model. The model was the winner of the Miss Sweden competition.
