In the year 2015, at age 19, she released her single here. The single was praised highly equally from critics and listeners. It peaked at number 19 among both Canadian Hot 100 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the smash one of the best Songs of the year. The singer released her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was one of five tracks to reach the top spots on Billboard including Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The track is special as, due to the interview with Rap-Up that she held with many of people who listened to her music could relate to her experience in finding love for themselves, while battling with her. Cara is known for incorporating songs about mental health, kindness and self-love into her tracks. The music she sings is reflective of her own personal struggles in dealing with anxiety and depression. In a conversation with Reuters the magazine, she stated that her album is "half tumultuous" and "half perfected". The therapy she received was a great help in her growth and now she urges others to do the same. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. When she was just 10 years young, her parents gifted her a guitar which became the starting point of her love for music. At 13 years old, she started covering her most loved songs using YouTube which is a huge media platform to prove to the world she had the talents and the determination to be an artist. In fact, one of the covers Sweater Weather ended up getting her discovered by a record company called EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create the songs.
